Notice that the Safari has the wheels you want, Marshall. Too bad you can't get that one for parts!

Saf: When it comes to noticing the damnedest things about cars, chances are I will. I tend to catch most of these 'funny' details, and always have. 45 years later, I still remember the 58 Bonneville that was destroyed in the demo-derby at the Canadian National Exhibition. I have an ODD brain when it comes to cars.

I know when I had a car shipped from the East coast to here it was a quick piece of cake. When I called the same company to see about a price to ship from Oregon to here....they didn't even want the job. Said none of his driver's went to that area of the country.
Gotta be hard for you, KK....having sent the money and now waiting. I would be a nervous wreck by now. Here's hoping that you hear that it is being picked up SOON.
You may want to look up some shippers that have their main offices in your area. They should have driver's coming back your way.

Why not just fly out and drive it back?

Was originally going to do that, but I compared the expenses and they would be about the same. Plus, I wouldn't be available for work for a few days, so that would cut my income.

Well...winter is coming soon here...never know when the snow will fly. Then, KK, has to worry about his side of the country traveling though the mountains. The driving route that he has to take could be harrowing in the winter. Out of Minneapolis and across the plains and then the mountains. Nice in the summer but, I wouldn't want to chance it in the winter. If he wanted to do that he could fly into Minneapolis for a cheaper rate I would assume. Then, the seller could meet him there with the car. If the seller refused to meet in Minneapolis, I may be able to get to Minneapolis and drive KK over to Onalaska. But, again, I wouldn't want to chance that drive back at this time of year.
