I am putting the interior back on my 49D wagon. I was hoping that there would be someone out there with a completed Buick wagon from 1958 that I could ask to get detail photos as references. Thoughts? Cheers. Michael.
Not sure we have anyone here with one, other that yours..... From the web.... Slide show of one in the San Diego area... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBECeKT45FQ Not sure this one is all stock inside - it's got some mods on the outside: Then, in my search, I found this thread.... http://www.teambuick.com/forums/showthread.php?20265-58-estate-wagon-interior-paint-scheme Also, maybe this outfit can help you with materials, etc... http://originalauto.com/
Intro is allways nice, also....who are ya, pics, info on what you are doing, pics, hello, etc... but welcome.
Welcome to the madness Michael! Some of us really like the 58 Buick Estate Wagons like yours a lot. Post up some when you figure out how.
Finally got a chance to come back to the forum. I've been busy, and not on the Buick. I will get some pictures up, hopefully, this weekend. By the way, does anyone have a good tailgate for a 57 or 58 Buick or Olds? Mine is looking a little sad now that it has been blasted. Cheers. Michael.
"It's got some mods???" Looks like it's dragging it's oilpan on the ground!!! My wife and I don't quite understand(and, therefore, don't really like)this "lowering" stuff. We'd rather spend money on a suspension that'll help it hold the road while diving fast on a curvy road.
I totally agree with you; suspension is the way to go. Oh, and with the help of Dan, I found a tailgate! It's on its way. More later this weekend. Cheers. Michael.
