Why pick that avatar ?

I like this. "Xavier" was my name in French class in high school. I had to fight off three legions to earn that name so it is what I tend to use when exploring. My avatar.?. I can't remember what my avatar is since it's been too long and you don't get to see them when using the mobile version of the SWF.

Oh, my real name is Keys. Keys Troi.

 

When I began using the internet in 1997-1998 or so, I thought it would be funny to make myself "occupant" so I'd get all the internet's junk mail.

It's not funny anymore, but I've stuck with it.

 

Keys... I thought Keys was a nick name beccause you liked to collect keys?

 

Nope. Just a lucky coincidence.

 

He couldn't last more than a week with this tough crowd ! There is a MrModelT on another forum I'm on. Was the one here Mr or just Model T?
Seems like if I begged real hard Steph would change mine to Model T or Model T 1, which I use on another site. Hint---Hint !

 

jrwscout thanks. That was interesting. Things we would maybe never know. It pays not to be bashful like some members. Makes me wonder how that view looked back in 1922. I'll ask silverfox and see if he remembers.

 

Many of us knew very little about computers when we joined these forums. A lot of terms are still confusing to me. Something I have never learned are "LOL" and all those other letters members use. As many times as i ask no one tells me. whaaaa!
The picture thingie is called the Avatar. And you better have a talk with your wife, explaining about YOUR computer. Glad I don't have that problem. My wife is skerred to death of me and my computer........ Well the computer anyway!

 

Even I know we are not supposed to do burnouts on the sidewalks. Only pedestrians and young women passing school buses use sidewalks.

Then why one day after moving to Florida 18 years ago did we start getting your mail and continue getting it ? Really, I did wonder about that user name.

All of this just to draw attention to my new avatar after I spent many hours designing and making it. I am not really a cat person altho our son is happy I didn't grille his cat or his Macaw while we stayed this summer. And I really hated it when they sat on me while I watched TV. I actually had to pet that stupid cat.

 

I use this nicname in about six different forums. I was in radio back in the 80s and got really iinto the rock scene around the San Francisco area so most of thoes forums are about music. I had my Dodge Monaco as my last avatar but I was made a good offer on the car and it was sold. I don't own a wagon anymore but my niic has stayed the same. So since Janiis Joplin is part of the 27 club along with Kurt Cobain of tthe band Nirvana Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morriosn of The Doors and most recently Amy Winehouse, I have currently a pic of a Janis Joplin 8 track as my avatar pic. Ill rotate avatars from time to time , they always have a rock star that died at age 27. In the music world if you live past 27 years old, your doing good.

 

FOREVER-27 I kept wondering why that photo looked familar. Thought maybe it was your wife or girlfriend. On the few other sites I'm on I change my avatars regularly too. Makes members wonder where I went and shows I like many things. On here I'd rather have a station wagon avatar.
