Just wanted to let you all know that I will be on vacation next week and will not take my laptop with me. I may check in on the board if I find an Internet cafe or Kiosk.

$arge may have heard of this story. I heard it while I lived in Guadalajara. The guy that told me thought he could suck me into to doing the same thing, but I knew enough Spanish and French to keep him from setting me up.

This Japanese visitor was asking a waiter how Mexican women like to be addressed when saying 'Hello'. Well, the waiter spoke good English, as did this businessman from Japan, so he told him that all he had to do was smile, not grin or smirk, and say "Buenas Dias, hija de la chingada." in a soft easy tone of voice. Or "Buenas Noches, hijo de tu pinche madre."

As the story goes, the people whom he introduced himself to understood that he'd been set up, and he survived.

"Hola, Buen(as) dia(s) or tarde or noche(s)" will do just fine, even with a Japanese accent. :D

    Speaking of vacations

Do you ever notice while you're on a long drive that you hear every noise, worry about every fluid in the car and constantly sweat out a breakdown wondering if you brought enough spare parts, water and oil and of course the trick screwdriver to adjust the carb with the aircleaner in place?:taz:

Then out of the blue here comes a 35 year old car on bald tires blowing blue smoke, dragging the muffler with seven people inside all smoking cigarettes barrelling down the road without a care in the world?:Blasting_anim:

    Annoying isn't it.:rant2:

When you see an old rusty pickup leaving everything in its dust? Then you find out that the pedal was stuck? :rofl2:

I wonder if we could get a patent for a backseat driver ejector seat? You'd need a moon-roof over the backseat or a retractible roof like the old rambler wagons.:rofl2:

Im back! I had a great time and spent a lot of time in the ocean and ate well! It did rain a little bit, but the weather was not that bad and and the clouds prevented me from getting sun burned!
