I can't see to type, what an incredible story. That's real you can just tell by the dad's reaction. I need a tissue...
Fannie, my wife and I just stayed up and watched this video. Can we borrow your tissue? Great job guys!
Cool story, China Motors has been doing some nostalgic pieces like this. I was 10 years old and we toured the GM Lakewood(GA) assembly plant. They were building 1965 Impalas that year. 45 yrs later I walked thru the new state of the art Kia assembly plant in West Point, GA. What a world of difference between then and now.
Incredible- thanks for sharing. I had a beloved '69 Dodge I was forced to sell, so that touched a nerve for me.
I'd get nostalgic for a car like that, too. I'd seen that video before, but had not noticed that not only was it a '65 Impala SS, it was a '65 Impala SS 396, with a 4-speed manual. Also, it apparently had been kept mostly 'all original' all this time. I really wouldn't mind finding a '65 Impala wagon.......if equipped properly.
Sorry Mike, ive always been partical to the 68 Caprice with the hideaway headlamps or the 65 LeMans. This is one car Im glad to see the European brokers didnt get their greedy hands on. Great story even tho Chevys glory years are long over
