so heres the deal, theres a consignment store i frequent thats local to me, so i stop in the other day and see this license plate thats says "Celebrate America" for $2.13, it was on clearance and me being the patriotic guy i am, i buy it!! when i get home i realize it says "We The People 200" so at that point, i realize its a bicentennial plate in crazy good condition! but i cant find one bit of info on it, im not sure if i should try to sell it, or keep it and eventually buy a car show cruiser from 1976 and put it on it! any info would be great!

    As always, thanks y'all,

    T

Or, if you like them a touch more ostentatious than the Squire:

Back in 1976, or 1876, I was collecting license plates from all states and putting them up on the side of my long garage. We lived on the end of a cul-de-sac and there was another road ending at our neighbors. Didn't know it for years. The road ended because many years ago there was a gulley along our fence and the neighbors. The license showed up great at night because were reflective. I had several state bicentennial tags up then.
Some people collect bicentennial license. Yours may be worth from $10 to $100?????
I'll give you $2.13!!!!!!:bouncy::bouncy:Because it is not really an official state tag. Just an accesorry license like those with CAPRISE WAGON OR JOHN DOE on them.

I'm not sure. I've always wanted to put them on my Colony Park. I know they'll fit, since they put them on the Crown Vic's for the squad cars back then.

I believe this is actually a plate commemorating the bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution (thus, We the people) that was celebrated circa 1987. It obviously did not get the attention that the U.S. bicentennial garnered in 1976.

You can tell this 61 Plymouth was driven well into the late 70's
