Have you ever been to the US-Car meet in Cologne, Germany? I was there in 1989 and 1990, as well as several other US car shows the three years I was in northern Germany. There were over three thousand American cars and trucks there. The Euro American car shows are a blast!

I went to a few in Brueggen, Maastricht, and Heerlen, as well, since I lived right on the D/NL border. Great times there!

I am wondering what kind of car that police wagon is?
I'd love to have bumper like that!

    @ patrick80:
sounds like you spent those 2 years at SHAPE or Geilenkirchen?

I spent my holidays rather on US car meetings than on sunny and (over-) crowded beaches in Spain or Turkey. Every weekend there is at least 1 big meeting in my area (150x150 mls). Tomorrow I will visit probably the biggest of the Lowlands in Antwerp Belgium (yes, I will take my camera, Rev...). Every year in July, the Vasteras Power Big Meet in Sweden is the biggest one in Europe (10.000 US cars showing). But due to the distance I have never been there.

    @ HandyAndy:
Here's a more detailed photo of the SWAT Wagon:

Geilenkirchen. You must be fairly close to there, then. Most people have no idea where GK is! Had a lot of fun there, that's for sure!

Note the pipes exiting in front of the rear wheel.

Yep, a Caprice. Those pipes will make a hell of a noise! A friend of mine had those as well on his 64 Impala SS, because it is cheap (you don't have to make the bend over the rear axle), but driving with the windows open was madness!!

Have you been to Benidorm Spain? Wonderful beaches great nite life and nice small town atmosphere. I think I spelled it correctly. It's a bit south of Cartegena.

been to Spain (Madrid, Barcelona) quite often (actually I will go there in 3 weeks from now). To Benidorm it is about 2000km (1250mls) from here, but never been there.
Benidorm however is considered, for us, as the Florida of Europe.... lot's of retired people who moved there from The Netherlands. This thread reminds me again to post a few more wagon photos I made the last few weeks......

During my time in the US Navy I've been privaleged to visit Spain, France, Italy, Greece. Since I've retired from the Navy I've been to Switzerland, Germany, Lichtenstein and Austria. We were going to drive to Italy but we were there not too long after the terrible fire in the tunnel between Switzerland and Italy so we could not go.
