Weather has been in the upper 80's and it broke 90 here today. Its so nice to have the A/C working again!

On another note, I have some cash coming my way. So I think I'm gunna get a set of nice new white walls put on. Then I'm going to bleed the brake system and due a cooling system maintenance. Hmm, then??? I'm running out of things to fix...

I love that Olds, vista. You ever get that dent fixed? That's about the only bad thing ON that car as I remember. That's where I would put my money with that little beauty.(y):D

Great thread, but that dent is bothering the bejesus out of me! :)

It doesn't look creased really...seems like someone with the right tools could pop that dent out.

Put Radial T/A's or other white letter tires on it. Dog-dish and RWL look awesome together and will totally change the look of the car. (y)

Pep Boys sells a house-brand raised-letter tire that looks ok. Might look into those, cheaper than T/A's, but T/A's are my favorite.

I think they'd look totally badass. But when the BFG cost 113 per tire and I can get the Cooper white walls for 76 per tire. Plus as much as I drive it, it wouldn't make sense to spend that much in tires for them to sit and rot away.

But thanks for the tip on Pep Boys, I'll stop by there and see what they have.

Oh and here are a few pictures of the dent and damage to the passenger side. It hides pretty well due to the color. As far as the dent goes, its just pushed in. The original owners scraped it against their wall in the "round about" style drive way they had.

Once I get tires and a few other things squared away, I'll take it to a body shop and see what they say. Plus its a 1/1 car so why not right? (y)

Ouch! That's a little more damage than I thought you had on that side.

Yeah, but....other than that unfortunate dent, the car is super nice. A great story about it when 77V first joined up, too.:D

Here's a good pic of the dent....remove that and the car is premo.....(y)

Discount Tire also has a house-brand RWL tire, Road Hugger Radial GT. It's what I have on my Cutlass.

I believe the Pep Boys tire is called a Super Sport Futura GLS

I hear you on the price of the BFG T/A's, they are more expensive. I saved my pennies for the ones I had on my Custom Cruiser, but I loved them. Plan to put the BFG's on my Cutlass when I wear out the Road Huggers.

    Gotta love Oldsmobiles!!

Save up a little more and get some raised-letter tires. Really makes these older cars stand out!

Good luck with your project. Enjoying following along with your progress!

Hey another worthwhile update on the Cutlass would be a set of 70's-era GM "bullet" mirrors. If you hit the salvage yards they are still somewhat common. I have them on my '88 Cutlass. They were optional on your Cutlass wagon and would look really good!

They should be the same from most 73-77 mid-size GM cars. Cutlass, RegaL, LeMans, Grand Prix, Monte Carlo....ect.

    Good Luck!
