Patched up some bad corners on my tailgate and installed a heavy duty tow hitch so I can tow the Shasta behind it in the summer! It was a good weekend.. we even had some sunshine! :dancing:

Replaced the leaking hot water diverter valve, made oak boxes for me speakers, wired the radio and drove it around a little bit. Changing jobs starting next week so the wagon will not be getting any attention for awhile

Made a short video of my Bonneville with the new dual exhaust

I have been working with the new owner of my old business to develop a true dual exhaust system for GM "G" body cars.

Finally got a short video posted:

This is the off-road set-up (no converters installed yet).

Uses the OEM manifolds...that little 305 has no business sounding this tough.

Been smelling a slight whiff of antifreeze, and a slight whiff of gas, I thought this last tank was low on mileage and its time for an oil change so I get the stuff. As I am screwing the oil filter on I notice a bright green drip around the harmonic seal, and I look over to see a drip of gas on the fuel pump.

Did you know with full smog equipment on an 82 OCC you have to pull the a/c pump and air pump and this werid little vacuum pump (which I have never seen on anything before) to get fuel pump out? Niether did I until today.

Then to get the water pump out I had to pull the power steering pump AND nobody had the water pump in town so its on order and my car looks like it hit an IED right now. Ahh the fun of 30 year old cars and early 80's smog engineering. Bev's comment was it looked like a nest of snakes.

This is Autorama weekend in Detroit.
My and my friend Larry drove the Bonneville to COBO for the show.
First time this poor little wagon has ever been driven on slush/snow.

    Gotta clean it off now!

Replaced all four of the plain vinyl door handle surrounds with woodgrain Di-Noc pieces from higher optioned Century sedans. Also got a nicer woodgrain driver control (windows and lock) bezel to replace the original chipped and severely faded one. Had to go to two yards to find them all. Only paid a total of $15.60 for them and two factory console cupholders as well as a like new dome light cover. I'm glad there are small, low cost projects that can make a difference in my car's appearance because I sure like working on it.

Thought about giving up on my project & listed it in the classified section. Only had that idea in my head for about 35 years & thought FINALLY I was going to be able to make it happen. Can you say "EPIC FAIL"?
