It's either a '49 or '50 Ford. Interesting that it's a steel side. I thought they were all woodies.

It might have had wood at one point. Who knows what customizations it has had.

X, I could be wrong and I'm sure another member can correct me if that's the case, but I think the wood on the woodies of that period was actually structural. In other words, it wasn't placed on top of the steel sides; it replaced the steel sides.
As I say, I could be wrong but I do remember hearing or seeing that somewhere.
    Anybody know for sure?

My guess is that this was originally a 52-54 Ford 2 door wagon but with 49-50 Ford sheet metal front and back.

I was thinkin the same thing but it hurts when I think ! Notice the rear quarters and the way the upper rear body is shaped. 1953 ? :49:
    I like it!

That would be my assumption as well. It is definitely a '50 grille at any rate.
The 49-51 were the last wood bodied wagons, though the main structure was steel with plywood
    veneer panels attached.

The drawing in my avatar is a '50.

I'm with Fannie, I would much rather have the '68, for some reason those older cars don't excite me much.
