hello to all wagon lovers in the world especially in usa, well my name is david iam half canadian and half spanish, and my new adquire is a 1972 ford torino station wagon with a 351 cleveland , the torino is an original california car with original blue plates , the car has some rust in the regular areas -rear quarters , roof a few bubbles , the tailgate and a few spots on the doors. but otherwise its in a good condition for a 40 year old car.At first i have some trouble with the ignition coil but now its done . iam looking for the tailgate weatherstripping or the rubber its very hard to find these rubber, maybe somebody out there can help me. It would be great to find some good used rubbers or NOS , i would pay good money for that. at the end i will post a few pics of my new rig. enjoy the pics.:Welcome:

:Welcome:fordworld. Makin me have memories. Nice wagon. I had a new 1972 red Gran Torino wagon for family and pulling a mid sized RV. People told me I needed a truck so traded it for a new red 1975 Ford truck. Rather kept the Gran Torino. Still miss that wagon.
Have fun with yours and keep us up on the progress.

Is that the one from that Nate guy, cerealmarshmellows or something on eBay? I was looking at it a few times. He's got a nice video of it on the listing, should still be up on YouTube, lemme check...here ya go...18 minutes of Solid Mid-Size, courtesy of Ford for '72!!!

Gotta be that one, same as yer pics. Got any pics of it in your country now with any reflectors or lights or whatnot they added to pass testing? I love seeing exported American cars and how they're modified to run on European roads.

    Nice wagon, David.

Coming from California, I'm actually surprised that it has that much rust (which isn't much...) You've got a bit of work to do on it, but it looks like it won't be too much trouble.

Wish I could help you with the weatherstrips, etc. Only thing I can add is to check here: http://steelerubber.com/

This is the place to go....hopefully they have what you'rel ooking for.

    Welcome to the forum.

Besides the 70 and 71 Torino the 72 grill is the best!

:Welcome:to the wagon train, fordworld! NICE wagon!(y) I hate to have to tell you, but, you likely already know that those weatherstrip pieces for wagons are almost impossible to find. As far as I know, there are no after market companies making them. But, don't give up. Some members of our wagon family have scored so it's not totally impossible. Glad you found us and thanks for the great pix.:D
