The '66 Caprice wagon that Mr. Ervin pictured above. With a 396 Turbo Jet and a TH400 tranny.

    Or a 1977 LTD in brown with a 400/auto.

:D Funny thing. Over the summer, when I stripped the top of the engine to paint it and put on the open element air cleaner I noticed the 'Packard' logo along with the individual cylinder numbers imprinted on each wire. That's when it dawned on me. I recall putting a new cap, rotor and set of plugs in the car about 10 years ago. The wires still appear almost new. The car just doesn't ask for much.

Starts right up, idles glass smooth, runs well and gets decent mileage. The starter was getting tired so I changed it yesterday; an early Christmas present for the wagon. Also, about a month ago I replaced the original water pump & lower radiator hose. At this point, I want to see if these plug wires will make it to a quarter million miles.

Krash, I may have to change my order with Santa. As much as I'd love the CTS-V, those hardtop Buick wagons are sweet! (y)

Seriously, my family and I got what we wanted for Christmas.

See I go back to work Monday. The company I work for has been holding me a spot.
I was diagnosed with cancer. They operated to remove the cancer. (benign)
Dec 21 I got cleared to go back to work.

My family and I thank God for this. I hope He has blessed you and your family this year.

    .
    Merry Christmas.

I'll take one of those, too, Harry. I would also like one these, Mark.

Or even one of these, Blackfoot.

    Or any one of these

But as you know my heart will always be set on a Fox or Panther body wagon from the 80s.

Guess I'll chime in with my wagon wish. The wagon I'd like from Santa is what I WAS trying to get done. AMC Eagle with a 360 4 Bbl.(AMC). Sure, it'd be nice to have solid axles under it, but I'd settle for it as it WAS supposed to be. Have the wagon & 360. Job never got done. Was SUPPOSED TO BE a complete makeover plus install of the 360. Delivered OVER 1½ years ago, PAID FOR almost 1 year ago. Completed so far? ZERO!!!!!!!

My blue 1986 mercury cp which is destroyed by an accident this year... and then in perfect condition again... But that will never happen... He lives on in our white cp (we used a lot of parts of the blue one during the restoration of the white one)...
