We're gettin' old. Gettin' chatty like an old gals' coffee clatch! But then so are the cars, and that good camera work that does all the talkin'.

Trouble is I only go to the gallery in my own junk. A lot of the guys, like the Doc with that 1934 buick just posts a quick comment that the pics are there. BFD!!! I'd like the DIY details, materials, tips and tricks, etc. even a link-fest of sources...

Here are the forum stats since I started the forum in May 2006. First stats are the number of new registrations per month, followed by new threads and new posts.

Well, we are still growing almost 50% per 6 months, from 650 in June till almost 1000 at the end of 2008!!! At the moment I write this, we are only 20 new members away from a 1000. Are we going to do something special for the 1000th member? :biggringift:

Well, the economy's hurting. Wagons are an affordable rarity. A couple grand can getcha a real doozy! Maybe we're gonna go mainstream hahaha. Little scary!

I'm not finding those "doozys" CE :banghead3:
Hey...I'm pretty sure we are the ONLY wagon forum. Station wagon.com is no longer operating and I have not found any others. I think that's a GOOD thing, though...we can gather ALL the wagoneers right here!

Wagoneers? We let Jeeps in? Hahaha, kidding, love those rides though. I think it's great there's only one site, so everyone can kinda get to know all the other hard-core enthusiasts.

SF are you really looking for another wagon? Andy and I have to make a run up to some of our local yards, before they flood (annual tragedy). But there's one yard with at least 12 wagons owned by some rich guy. There's a couple dogs there, and a phone number. He sounds about our age, and not very 'open', but nobody touches the cars. There's no workers or 'guards', and all the JY's around him, don't have any nice things to say about him. Basically A.N.A.L! ;)

There's a couple Buicks, two Fox wagons - one looks like a Mercury Zephyr, the other is a Fairmont, some Chevy wagons and a couple Mercs.

All the cars can be seen from the fence, but we haven't been there for a year or more. Prairie cars don't rust out as much as Eastern cars, and these all seem to be up off the grass.

I asked him about the Mercury Zephyr wagon in 2006, and he wanted $1,350. Pretty nice looking car, and he claimed it ran and was rust free. I restored mine instead.

Thanks SO much for thinking of me Stormy. But ... it is I who is anal. I am looking for the proverbial cherry. I have a couple on the line...one of which is not a cherry but zero rust and could be brought back easily and relatively cheaply. With that said...IF, in your travels, you run across a NICE '86-'87-'88 or '89 Electra wagon please let me know.
Thanks again for your kind gesture.
