Me too, they're still beautiful, in a way.

I know I read somewhere It was Oregon, I don't remember where. I know some of the cars had Oregon plates on them.

I showed the pictures to a friend and he thinks that it is whats left of a chop shop dump site. I'm guessing from northern Oregon or southern Washington.

This one looks similar to one we used to play when we were kids...

Couple of the cars have Oregon plates on them. I also saw one with a Washigton plate. Most likely on the Oregon side of the river in the Cascades.

Well, they do rust, it's just more natural than Mid-west-winter-road-salt rust or East Coast sea salt rust.

If you do come to see us Fox, make sure you take in Mt. Rainier.

    Well, I got through it.

I don't know exactly how to feel. Yes, the photos were amazing. Art really.
    The cars though...
Like Rev said, there are some rare cars in there. I mean, a Packard? Seriously? :49:
    Stude Starlight coupe, Caddy's, tri-five chivy's...
Then there was the 64 Plymouth Sport Fury. Looked almost like you could drive it out of there. :banghead3:

I'm glad the photos were shared. It's bittersweet.

Definitely not Southern Cal or Arizona cars are they? lol.

Yeah, I am seeing alot of Oregon and Washington license plates and I know there are some swampy areas in western Oregon, so probably there somewhere. Definitely somewhere damp! LOL.

Some of those cars were in standing water right in the swamp/marsh... I bet the bottoms of those cars are completely rotted away.

There is/was a junk yard like that about a mile from my house (with the same type/vintage cars, but they were not in standing water like this, but had been exposed to the dampness in the east Tennessee woodlands.

The yard belonged to an old friend of grandpas (I used to go with him to visit the old man quite often and I would walk around) and the old man died a couple of years ago and last I heard he had most everything crushed. I havent been back.

That was the yard that had about 30 old Country Squires and the very rare 71 Grand Safari 2-seat wagon.

Photo 97 is an old Willys Jeep wagon.
As to 113, it looks like the hood for the old car it's sitting on....

This one's interesting. This is #168.
Did anyone notice anything unusual about this car? And what kind of car is it?

I seen this car and wondered too. I thought I knew most all old cars, but this one I am not sure of. It kinda looks like the shape of a 1961 Plymouth, but I know its not, as I just looked at one and its different. Also, they had the "bullet" taillights... Looks like some kind of early 60s Mopar. I have been browsing them though and cant find at match!

Absolutely beautiful from a photographic / artistic standpoint, but incredibly sad to see so many fantastic cars rotting away. They are obviously not going anywhere. Moss like that takes decades to grow.

Rust or not, just the window glass and trim pieces there are worth a small fortune.

Yep, it sure looks a lot like the '62 Fury. Just different lights.

I just googled 62 Plymouth and sure enough that is the same rear end (identical except the taillights, which is what threw me off, because I even looked at the 62 Plymouths before I posted), but all of the ones I can see the rear ends on have round taillights.... this must be one rare puppy, or a version from another county? Sure has me puzzled. :D

I am inclined to believe that the lights were a customization of the vehicle. No question that it is a 1962 Plymouth.. My guess is that the taillamp is from a 1959 Pontiac.

I agree.... definitely a '62 Plymouth and those surely do look like '59 Pontiac taillights. Looks neat though.... maybe they (Plymouth) ran out of taillights and Pontiac had alot of '59 lights left over and gave them to Plymouth to use? ;)
