Wow! only $1,980? I'll bet the owner is ticked......

They were doing a special segment between bits of the auction. One of the commentators who's really good with his car identification puts on a blindfold and guesses a car by running his hands over it. One of the cars in the segment was our favorite 'A&W' CP.........

As if the body color wasn't bad enough, the guy had the dealer paint the wheel covers as well? Each to his own I suppose, but that is one gross color. White, green, blue, red, black, brown; anything but that!!

Soooo.....the guy that bought it at BJ is now selling it on eBay? Well...at least we know what he paid for it. He's probably hoping for that $3500 bidder to come back.

I don't see how they can say 1 owner. It sure looks a lot better in these pictures. A little spit and elbow grease does wonders.

Well.....the caps have to go, for sure, and, I WOULD have to have it painted a different color. Either that or buy a root beer stand....:D

Yes - there's no denying the wagon's in great condition. I also think I would do away with the 'originality' of the wagon and change the color. It would be expensive, but well worth it IMO. You would have to completely de-trim it - door jambs, all the moldings, lights, rack, everything. 'Wood' can be masked off with the surrounding trim off. It would probably cost around $5k or so to do it right.

The E-bay auction is still under what it sold for at B-J. It's also a 'no reserve' auction.

YEAH! I'm AMAZED that this is a "no reserve" auction! Of course, he can always pull it if it isn't drawing the money.

Wheels make a huge difference, I think it "could be" a cool ride with some Magnum 500's

He's not going to get the 3500.00 bidder to come back, because it was a friend of mine, looking for something to use to haul around his trailer full of custom Harleys. (Orange is a HD color after all...lol) but he found another project.

I've seen this wagon in person, and yeah it's super clean. Color not to my taste either. The really bad part is if you went to paint it. There is no point of taping off the "wood". The guy selling it, prior to the Barret Jackson buyer ruined all of it. He actually bragged to us about doing it, claiming he "restored" the wood. The moron actually painted all the wood trim with dark brown wood stain :slap::slap:

It now looks like someone took a paint brush and some old brown house paint to the whole sides of the wagon. :banghead3:
