Looks like a VW to me. Looks like it has the aftermarket 40 Ford front end and the aftermarket woody body.

I agree. Must have been a kit or something as there's a similar one here in town and one was spotted in the recent Pittsburg wagon event:

I remember these kits/convertion alot from the 70's. These don't look to bad (That top one looks great!) but there also was a "Rolls Royce" convertion that looked horible.

Remember the kit that you could turn your bug into a flat bed pick up? There was another one called "Vandango" that turned it into a sedan delivery.

    1940 vw

Now and then we see a red VW bug running around here that looks a lot like a 1940 Ford coupe from a distance. Remember those when living in Illinois. Must have sold a bunch of those various coinversions.

These were always good for a laugh though. Like when Tommy Chong pulled one out of the garage in "Up In Smoke".

    Looks clean, not cobbled together.

Here's a couple more photos of that one at the Pittsburgh show on June 25. According to the information card, it was some kind of kit that let you turn a VW into a Ford woodie wagon, or something like that. Note how he kept the original VW taillights and rear bumper.

He had a display of Ford wagon models set up in the back.

I take exception to him calling it a 'Lil Ford'.....
    Nothing on it is 'Ford'......

    Lil Ford VW Woody

This is a cute kit car. But the stock VW tail lights are totally out of place...Actually they are in place for a VW. :whew:But a set of 34-36 Ford lites would look so cool. Even 39-40 tail lites in fenders would be nice. But it ain't mine and people do whatever they want to their LITTLE FORDS and other things!:dancing:
