Thank you so much, Fox, for taking the time to send me the pics of the T&C! I am nuts about it! It is glorious! Rusty, but glorious! The only thing it doesn't have on it is dual air, but it has auto-temp, and rear defrost glass, AM/FM 8-track stereo, PW, locks, seats. Gorgeous!

    David :)

I agree completely. I don't know how many times I've responded to an online ad and never heard back. Annoying as hell!

In the defense of some, I think that ads get posted on behalf of a friend or relative and the poster believes that if they include a phone number to reach the actual seller, their responsibility ends. I posted an online ad for my Father a while ago when he was selling his truck. After the first few hours it became clear that no one was going to call the number. I responded to ads via email until it sold. I think that many aren't bothering. Doesn't make it any more right, but it's somehow easier to take if I can understand the thought process behind it.

Again...I love these particular wagons. I was real excited knowing it was relatively close to me. I did, however, note the location and price which worried me. Unfortunately, my worries were justified. It's frustrating to have the car fairly close, looking beautiful inside, but suffering from a spreading case of cancer. Fact is, it's frustrating most of the time around my neck of the woods. Cars can be cherry inside and even look good outside. Then you look under and know where it lived and what's coming next week.:yup:

Just sayin' I think that some of the people who are posting ads for friends and family aren't responding to emails for the ad. I presume that they are thinking that anyone who doesn't get an email response will make phone call and the mail gets ignored.

It makes me feel only marginally better that it might not be the seller that's a jerk but someone else who posted the ad and just doesn't get involved.

I encounter a lot of people who avoid email/typing like the plague, choosing instead to handle everything by telephone. I think a lot of people equate a classified ad, online or otherwise, with telephone communications rather than anything else.

When I put my email on a CL ad, I get SPAM and people who love to play email-tag and waste my time. Thats why I only do phone numbers.

OK. I get it. But, you can't send pix through the phone, at least not to me. If you are not willing to communicate through the Internet then put the car in the local paper. People should KNOW that online advertising is going to require a little work to help long distance buyers.

It happens all the time. My experience is they only answer if they sold the car. I sent emails to many sellers (from my gmail.com account, without mentioning my nationality)...
