Got a ton of work done over the last two weeks. Door handles all on, front bumper mounted, rear side pilars/scoops mounted..what a pia! I have no idea how the line workers were able to get all the tiny trim on this car. Also re-wired the rear wire harness too. Last night I masked off the front grill and will be repainting the silver non-chrome areas to clean it up a little. Polished every piece of stainless trim for the rear of the car as well. I will post up some pictures later tonight!
The chrome on the 3 piece squire grill was in pretty good shape, but the non chrome areas that were originally silver were really bad. I masked off all the chrome on the grill and repainted the insides. I am very happy how it turned out. I did not know this when I bought the squire, but the grill for the LTD and the Squires were cast and 3 piece and the other wagons and galaxies had a light one piece stamped aluminum grill. Had to step sand then polish these back to a nice shine. No one makes these for the 4 doors or wagons
That is just awesome, I love the attention to detail you are putting into her! Keep the photos coming!
I was pretty good at spit-shining my army boots. We were supposed to be able to tell if our date had pantyhose or nada on. You, good Doctor, have outdone me! Awesome work!
I will have more this weekend. We are wiring up the rear licence plate lights, and tail lights. Should also get the rear bumper on too.
I can't wait till your done, the work is great. However, I find it hard to look at this picture.....kinda like a crooked eye thing going on. Very distracting. Drivers upper headlight pointing off to the left....
I will make sure to fix that! I think it is more a illusion in the picture however it could be off line..kind of looks like the bumper is tilted down too... no worries..I will have the beams pointing straight as an arrow.
