I replaced My 1977 Chevy Caprice Classic Estate Wagon which I drove hard for 18years with The "NEW" 70' Chrysler Town and Country...I found the Town & Country on the internet waiting for me in Seatle WA...
Living in Illinois, I bought the car sight un-seen just from description, mileage, and a poor resolution photo..
I flew out on the last Seatle flight the next nite..spent the night in the airport , and the seller pulled up in the wagon to make the deal at 8Am curbside the next morning...
I had never seen a Town & Country before...WOW! LOOK AT ALL THAT HOOD!!!!! I was THRILLED!
From the front I was looking at the front end of a 70' Charger Muscle Car that finished in a sleek lined wagon..So Kewl!
It was sraight, clean no dents and 82,000 orginal miles and just looked Kewl...What I did not know was it was packing a 440 TNT motor with some upgrades like elec ingnition and was kept up..
From there it was cash, paper work, a trip to the auto store for tools, multiple hose clams, tape, wire and a stop to a thrift shop for a sleeping bag...
And the road trip began to Denver where it lives and waits for my visits to the mountains with all the gear ready packed inside!
