I bought this wagon in Dec 2007 from a guy in Long Island NY. It was already missing its original 401 nailhead engine. The wagon was amazing complete. It has every conceivable option available at the time. I bought this wagon to install an LS1 swap and use as a family truckster.
The concept for this build was to a have an old school period look with a modern driveline. Since this car was owned by a 'celebrity', I wanted to keep as much patina as possible. Except for cleaning, I have not touched the interior or exterior of this wagon. I pulled the body off the frame (see pics) and started the restoration. I stripped the frame to bare metal and coated it with Chassis Black. Everything on the chassis has been replaced.
