I've been looking for a set of new white wall tires for my '73 Custom Cruiser. Well it seems it's nearly impossible especially in the size I need of 235/75/15 and without spending a fortune. So I started checking Craigslist for used wheel and tire combos in my 5x5 bolt pattern. It seems that most ads will say what car the wheels came off of but won't list the bolt pattern. To help, I came across this wheel cross reference website that I wanted to share. It seems this site has about the most complete listing of vehicles and wheel dimensions I've found. So even though I haven't yet found a set of wheels and or tires for my CC, hopefully this site might help others in their search.

I've used that site a good bit. I'm not sure how familiar you are with the technical specs of wheels, but figured I'd mention the following. One thing to keep in mind is that last column, "Offset". Even though the bolt pattern might be the same, if the back spacing or offset is different, the wheels could stick out too far, or not far enough. Also, be sure to pay attention to the hub center bore column. If the hub bore on the "new" wheels are too small, they won't fit over your hubs.

Absolutely! For example, RWD Fords and Mopars (except Imperial) have a 5-on-4-1/2" bolt pattern. However, the Ford wheels have a smaller register (center) hole than the Mopars, so a Ford wheels will NOT work on a Chrysler product; where a Mopar wheel WILL work on a Ford.

Mike, thanks for the tip about Discount Tire. I researched the Hankook H724, read a bunch of reviews and spoke with my local tire guy and I just couldn't find any reason not to buy them. The H724's have a slightly higher load range than what was originally equipped, are four ply and have a 1" whitewall. The only draw back is that I was hoping for a more traditional brand that would better match the vintage of the wagon. Regardless though, I did a web order today for $311 delivered. That's $78 per tire in a 235/75/15 size. Can't beat that!
