looking at bikes on Craigslist and saw this. I wouldn’t call this a station wagon but it’s cool. Just another car im to big to fit in what is it? A triumph? Mg?
Yup. MGB-GT to be exact......... The little 4-cylinder was standard. Later on, you could get a MGC-GT, with a straight 6. Identified by this bubble hood: And in England, there were a few built with the Rover aluminum V8. (Don't think these were ever imported to the states....) I SO wanted one of these back around 1970 or so......... just didn't have the money for one.....
My grandpa didi had a convertible. Same color green. First time I ever rode in a convertible. Years later, after he died this fella moved in and married didi’s Wife. (Not my grandma) then he tracked the car down and bought it. So now he’s married to didi’s wife, and driving his car. What’s next man? You gonna change your name too???
Now that you have the money, you could go out and get a better one with up to 4.6 liters displacement: http://www.britishv8.org/articles/rover-hot-wire-efi.htm Who built an MGV8 in 1994? http://www.britishv8.org/MG/ScottMiller.htm
When looking at vehicles for sale or trade I spend more time checking the background. Often the better deals are there. In the background of my 1939 Ford dash is our board fenced lawn. First a gate and wood fence, grass, then the front fence near the dirt road. I miss it but I still have the background. After 40+ years in a shed there are a few cobwebs in the fourground.
I went down to the Illinois river today and this is not what I saw in the fourground or background. Daytona Beach
That thing is crammed in there! I prefer enough room to sit on the wheel wells when doing engine work

X2[/QUOTE]I put a 327 Chevy and powerglide in a 1960 Austin Healey Sprite. Don't need much room if you do it right!
That's honest of him to charge the bettery for the photo session. Although, there's nothing wrong with the 2 bbl Weber, it's still not superior to the original dual Strombergs. Guys would convert theirs over, when they didn't have the proper knowledge as to how to service the original sidedraughts. I'll pass on it. Would much rather have an MGA: http://carclassifiedscheapads.com/2015/12/26/1962-mg-mga-for-sale-craigslist/ Here's one with a 289 dropped in: http://www.britishv8.org/MG/HarryMiller.htm For you faux woodgrain addicts:
^^^those are nice. More cars I’ll never fit in! ive never seen this much room in front of a radiator. Are there any examples of other cars with this much space? Anyone? Ivy?
My '56 Chevy had plenty of space, in front of the radiator, where we once tried cruising around with a 12-pack laid in front of the radiator, to chill the beer. Thinking it should work, because it was Winter, it was disappointing that the beer was still warm. We didn't know about infrared rays, back then. That's why radiators and motorcycle engines are painted black and not white. The word "radiator" originates from radiating. The device is falsely labelled, originating from the radiators used in household heating of which hot water would flow through them, and should properly be designated as a heat exchanger, instead
