OK all, It's been a while, got some updates. I got the car insured, and am going to register it today, QQ plates so no inspection (yeah!) I have purchased 4 new tires for it, Navigator Golds by Kelly. I got an NOS tailgate inner handle and installed. I got a car cover to keep it clean, It's made for a wagon but it's tight "like a 300 pound woman in a bikini!" I have checked the brakes, lotsa pad and good rotors, will replace the rubber lines soon. The next plan is to get the car on my friends lift, remove and install tires. One question; the rims have a good amount of surface rust. Should I just grind/sand and rattle can them black OR have the proffesionally painted (that might be $ is it worth it?) MPJ

No 'wiggle' room in those bikinis?

Why not take them to get sandblasted clean. Cheap. They use fine grit. Then kick the wife out for a couple hours and use her oven (windows open of course) and powdercoat them yourself.

Great point Norman that is one way to insure they don't rust again. And the variety of colors they have makes it easy to keep stock colors.
IDK about NJ but here it cost about $20.00 to get a set of wheels sandblasted. I have my own oven so Powdercoat is no problem.
