Well folks, part 1 of the body work. the T&C was dropped at a body man, he will remove the front windshield-fix the small holes in the opening and reinstall ws. He will also pull the big dent in the tailgate and fix the rust issues, both fixes will be left in primer for now. Then once the leak in the windshield area is fixed I can install my new carpet, then I need to find a seat man........ progress rocks.. oh, did I mention I have a lead on a tilt-tele steering column!!!!! Sounds like you will have your wagon ready to use in no time. I'm no bodyman so have to farm that out as well. It is hard to find the right person who actually cares about the car, the customer, and the long term quality of the work they do, or that's the case here. Good luck with your project. Barry
Oh, she gets used now, I've only had here since March 15 and have put over 3 thousand miles on her. Far from perfect, but she runs good, once the windshield area gets the interior will be dry, and the gate has the only dent. The next metal work will be the dogllegs on both sides, which I think we will have to fabricate-unless someone knows of or has a donnor parts car. MPJ
You said a mouthful, saf57! I've been a car guy since I was a kid in my dad's gas station building flat heads but never had the desire to learn body work. Now I wish I would have. I have to farm my body work out too and it is almost impossible to find a guy that understands the importance of the older cars. If you DO find one....he's usually 4 times the price of the others. I try my best to find wagons that need a minimum of body work.
Those Telescoping/tilt wheels are the greatest on the big Mopars. Must be a relief to have a good tinbasher.
