I've done some searching, and haven't come up with the answer Im looking for. There is one thread here but not quite what Im doing. Any one out there have a tubed wagon with a functional rear seat? I don't mean "mini" tub, I mean a real tub. I don't really want to take mine out because it would be Kool to have a drag car with 4 seats. I will be narrowing the frame, building a 9" for it, and will be running a pretty big tire. I may even move the wheel well back to make sure I get enough tire. Im gonna be sending at least 1000HP to them so there gonna have to be fat. Any of you guys ever see a wagon like this? If all goes well I want it to sit about stock ride height, and have the tire tucked inside the body. Im thinking of running a 32x14 if I can make them fit. I know it will come all the way up to the window and that's fine, I just don't want to expand the wheel base a lot. I've done a few drag cars before but as you know this will be my first Malibu. Its a 79 wagon, and Im building an enormous big block for it.

You will have to mod the frame, hope you know... Also, I doubt keeping the seats is an option without heavy modification...

I don't see that happening in my mind. But I've seen guys do things I've never thought of before. With 1K HP, tires like that and with a cage you have upped the complexity considerably. But I have to say....that kind of a sleeper is my kind of wagon!

I am not sure it will fit eaither. You might be able to get away with a narrowed rear bench. If it were the bigger B-Body wagon then yea I think you could do it. Not much room back there to begin with.

If you had a 3-seat wagon, you could put a couple of big boys back there for good weight transfer........

I know I will have to narrow the frame, and probably would be better to just do a tube chassis. Im just trying to avoid taking it to far:rofl2:I plan on doing a 9" rear, and a 4 link to keep things tight and will be moving the fuel cell inside where it belongs. Im also gonna put a wheelie bar on it, I have seen way to many good cars get destroyed because the front end slams into the track. I will be putting some jounce shocks in the front to.
