Hello to you all. Just thought i'd share a jolly outing we had in Dorothy. My partner and myself took the boys, and Dorothy to our local seaside town Westbay. Its a beautiful little coastal town 13 miles from our farm and one of which we visit regularly. Usually when we feel like walking the dogs along the beach/cliffs and fish and chips and clotted Devon cream ice-creams in the Wagon! Dorothy gets much admiration from passer-bys, and I kind of gloat inside with pride at the spectacle of her parked along side with the other dull, boring euroboxes. Here are the pics. Enjoy and hope your good-selves and your Wagons and families are well. Wagonqueen.
Great pictures! Love seeing these big old wagons out of their normal (read North American) environs. Dorothy certainly does stand out! Beautiful boys you have there, too. Hopefully we get to see more of your beautiful countryside.
Did you ever get all of the problems you were having fixed? I don't recall reading any follow-up postings.
Great pics -thanks for posting! So tell us about the boys - we've got a large group of dog owners on the forum. I've got 2 Aussie/Border Collie brothers - they love to take a ride because it usually means getting to run at the park.
Hello all, thanks for your kind replies. "The Boys" Bert and Leo sure do love the Wagon, i'm sure they appreciate the fact they can see everything as we go along and take in the fresh country air from the electric lowering tailgate glass! Yes, sorry to disappoint, they are called "white cliff's" for a reason chaps, plus, they're the other side of the country from us! although they are not too dissimilar, just the wrong colour! lol. One of you chaps asked about the recent issues I had with poor old Dotty. I have been told I have a leaking exhaust manifold, (and hence the extra noise), Although I kind of quite like the extra noise as she now sounds rather throaty and V8y when you gun her! Seriously though the whole exhaust system needs re-doing ideally as its rusty and leaking, but I think i'm going to hold on as long as March/April next year before the spring summer and MOT test! - As the salt roads here due in a few weeks will just eat away at her, and me being her mechanical father, - She's not going out displaying such fine bodywork in THAT weather! The uncontrollable over-revving caused the engine to boil up due to a stuck automatic choke cable, some WD40 put that right. Thanks for your interest. We soldier on until the next time!
