    this is the GRIZWALL:dance:.

A friend called couple days ago about a 1980 country squire with 351 for $300.00 that one of his friends want to unload. 351W for 300 buck and the car free, I'm game. so today I went over to take look at this beast. as soon as I open the hood as found it still had the 351W in there. I had the PO sign the bill of sale and started to load the car.
my first plan was to pull the 351 for one of my other cars but after looking her over, I'm planning to make her a daily driver for my ball park and winter driving.
it came with some funny 14" , so I swapped them out for some 15" 1979 thunderbird rims. next week, I plan to swap out the 8.8-2.73 open rear axle for complete 8.8-3.55 traction lock axle I been saving for rainy day. tomorrow I plan to swap out the goofy 7200VV 2BBL CARB AND DISTRIBUTOR for real 2bbl carb and distributor. I need to get this running before july 21 because that’s when the next home game is and I been driving UNCLE BUCK but that’s to nice of a car for a base ball to hit or some fact lady to sit on when there smoking out sit.

in case some of you haven't following me, this is number 4 woody I currently own. so here some photos as i hauled grizwall home.

Hmmmmmmm, lets think about it for a moment.....It's a factory 5.8,,,,it's a factory 351....it's as rare as lip stick on a rattle snake.......
    :hmmm:

I owned a 351 Colony, I was young and stupid:banghead3: I've seen other 351 Colonys, but this is the first ford, I would tend to think it's even more scarce.

    Keep it?

    YES!!!!!

well the 30 yr old headliner is missing in action and the 30 yr old plastic seats cover gave it up long time ago. then you got after market hand warmer on the steering wheel, plus the dash cover cozy , so the cats have place to sleep. it has cheep seat cover on front , along with the low tech floor mat's
but nothing a little elbow and red neck engineering cant take care of.
here some photos as I got her.

Yup, she's definitely a keeper. That 351 is a very rare find; I want to say Ford only offered it in the 79 and the 80 if I'm not mistaken. I'm pretty sure after 81, you could only get the 5.0.

    Pfffffffft...... For $300.00? HECK YEAH It's a keeper. :thumbs2::thumbs2:
Shoot man.....I blew a lot more than $300.00 in a night before so keeping that find is a no brainer if ya ask me. Good Luck with it.

My 80 had the 351, and I honestly thought it was a American model because of the engine and I had never seen one with any thing else than a 302 since. I only learned the rarity after joining the site.

It was still avalible in 1884, I don't know if it was still a option in 85....

    update!!

I finely got all the wiring from the computer controlled VV carb/disturber off and got the real carb and disturber to work . did a compression test and getting 125 TO 140, so not bad. she starts right up and runs but need to work on the choke. been driving her for few day but I keep looking for the ores because this car rides like I'm on the lake in some boat.

this car had way to many problems and i just didn't feel the love coming from this car. i tried selling it and no one wanted it.
so i pulled the engine/tranny for my 1982 cougarXR7. i also pulled the front header panel and the rest went for scrap.

.:oops:mg: with out engine and tranny, that car still weigh in at 3400lbs.
