while nothing can ever truly "replace" TiKi, I bought a new project.

It is not a wagon as we look at it, the state of Pa says it is a wagon but...whatever.

those of you who know me well, know that my first love car wise is jeep.

    This is a 1965 jeep..
Technically its NOT a CJ5....a true jeep afficianado will know what it is. (hint...it was an option package till 1964...then it became its own model. and its very rare)

CJ5-eh?, or as the Americans pronounce it...CJ5-A?

That looks great, here is some incentive...........

I see you found the model and technically no...not a "5a" or 5 "eh" either...... coincidence? or do you know what it actually is?
the black windshield, chrome bumper, chrome hinges, hood latches, hood badges and on the inside......bench seat and 3 on the tree. are specific to that model.

correct tedy it is a Tuxedo park mark IV! it is however not a v6 optioned one.
thats ok the 4 cyl is fun and sounds cool (sounds like a m.a.s.h jeep). it came out of a barn in michigan in 2011 and the guy who bought it started the restoration but (as he said) is too old to do it at 75. Its road legal and inspected so i'll have some fun this summer and in the fall, start in on her.
I want to take her back to stock. I have all the badges and hard to find parts in a box in my garage. This jeep is literally half the length of TiKi so i have lots of room in my garage to work!

So was the idea for the 'Tuxedo Park' model a 'gentlemans' Jeep - one that maybe is a bit more suited to around-town driving? They came out with the Jeepster the next year I believe, which to me sort of fills that niche........

One question - are the leaf springs softer than the standard Jeep for that year?

Looks like a terrific project, Ian.

i dont think the springs are any softer. but the rear end is a much taller 4:27:1
the regular cj had 5:38:1 50mph is pushing it hard on flat ground...while mine wil just about hold 60mph
