So I sold my '88 Cutlass to my friend Laird. He's just like me, a car nut, and loves that it's stock. It will be moving across town to his house and will live in his garage next to the Pacer wagon.

AND I've already replaced the Cutlass. I did a partial trade for my old '81 Citation X-11 :jumping: Where's that little Poltergeist girl..... It's baaacckkkk

.....and also for his gorgeous 1996 Bonneville SLE. I will have the X-11 play with, and to teach the kids how to drive a stick with, and Misty will have the Bonneville to commute in. Will save the Denali for road trips. The Bonny just hit 80K miles and still looks new. Should be a good commuter for Misty. She only allowed the X-11 back because she too is getting a car...ahaha!

Pics below, but it now has grey factory Bonneville crosslace wheels in place of those 5-star wheels. He just put the crosslaces on with brand new tires. Sweet!

I'll miss the Cutlass but going to Laird it "stays in the family". He's already planning to do the trans mod and duals on it. Things I had not been able to get done yet.

We leave for NJ on the 25th, so next week. Will be bringing home the '89 K5 Blazer for my son Eddie and the '82 Z28. The Z28 is for my Dad however and will be living in HIS garage.

So the Blazer and Citation will be in the carport. The boat will lose it's carport spot and move into the back yard with the tow dolly and motorcycle trailer. The Bonny will be in the driveway with the Denali. I may start driving the Denali myself since I only have a 2-mile commute to work, Misty's commute is 20-miles. Will keep the miles on the wagon down. The wagon and GTO stay in the garage....always!

    Ahahahaahahahaha!!! :banghead3:

    Life is never boring!

It kinda sounded like the citation was going to find it's way home the other day. Congrats on your new toys!

It was a really nice Cutlass, but I hardly used it. My wife will use the Bonny and I can teach the kids to drive a stick with the Citation. Makes sense.

Are you planning to (or already done) the 3800 swap into the Citation?

Used to have an 80 Rabbit that burned rubber ! Got to love it when the dull drab econobox can out-perform the RX7 or the Celica Supra. ;)

I can't remember if the X-11 had cowl support to firewall braces. If it doesn't have them, adding them will really improve the rigidity and handling. My brother had one; it was a fun car.

Pinebox has a great idea! A 3800 would be great in that little buggy!

Congratulations one what seems like an awesome deal! But man it's hard to keep up with your rides. Around here your only allowed to sell some many cars before your considered a dealer...;)

I had a funny feeling the X11 would make it back into your garage. Well done. I love the Bonnie too. I have always liked that body style. I looks great. Those GM 3800s are hard to beat for durability and mileage. Congrats man.

I'd love to put a supercharged 3800 in the X-11. That's a popular swap, and man they FLY. Laird actually had the V6 engine in the X-11 totally rebuilt less than 5000 miles ago, so it's fine for right now. The 2.8 was quick in it's day, but now a new base Hyundai would outrun it...but it'll be a good car to teach the kids to drive with. All kids should learn to drive a stick shift, it's becoming a lost art!

Took a current pic of the Bonny with the new wheels and tires. Laird also added an SSE grill. The black thing on the roof was for his sat radio, and it's coming off.

Really like this car...just wish it had a sunroof. Almost as much room inside as a B-body, plus 30mpg on the highway. I think Pontiac was still trying when they made these cars...they just feel good to drive and ride in.

    Too bad it's wrong-wheel-drive! Ha!

Great looking car you seam destined to have a x-11 around

3.8 would wake it up that's for sure.

imagine the torque steer with a stick!

Love those wheels. Kinda wish they would fit on my Safari......

Mike, I assume you're on a first-name basis with your auto ins. agent? Perhaps have him over for dinner often? Or, does he send you a big gift pack every Christmas?
