It's working better so far. Edit: I spoke too soon. Right now, it's hit and miss. It starts out working snappily, then it slows down in switching from one page to another, or posting up.
It is hit and miss. There is either an issue with the board itself, or with the hosting service, and either is unlikely to get resolved without Stefan (wagonmaster) here.
"Not secure" has become so common on many other sites that I've made it a habit to ignore It sometimes is just that, if you're running Windows 10. Supposedly, 11 is even worse
Fannie, this site has never been "secure" in the way your browser denotes. Being "secure" requires a certificate to be installed on the site that validates the site is, who is says it is. It also requires an HTTPS connection instead of HTTP. That said, as a general rule for ALL sites, follow these tips - - NEVER enter financial or personal information into any part of the site - NEVER reuse the same password for multiple websites. Always use a different and unique password for each site. A password manager like KeePass or PasswordSafe can help with this Hope this helps explain it.
For all of you who are moderately technical, I just changed my DNS servers from Google to my local ISP and the site is loading WAY faster. It is worth a shot to check your DNS settings.
My login on here does have a unique password not used anywhere else, and because I do not surf recklessly on the Net, all my other passwords have been safe, except to my own brain.
