I'm not sure what you call it other than the transmitter that operates the door locks on a 95 Roadmaster wagon. Is there a replacement for these? Mine hasn't worked since i got it and found out it was unplugged. New batteries and plugging it back in done nothing!!

It could be the remote is just worn out, like how a television remote gradually stops working. It might be possible to get a new one still.

If you're talking about the factory unit in the car to control the locks with the key fob remote it's called a keyless entry receiver or module.
I just replaced mine, got a used one from the parts guy Fred, took no time to install and program it.
You can contact him through the Impalas SS forum or the GM Longroof forum, has a post with parts he keeps active in parts for sale on both sites.

Type the FCC code off the back of the remote into the eBay search engine, and you will find a replacement. It might have another brand car listed, but they are all the same if the FCC code numbers match. I have bought a few replacements this way.

Thanks for the info, I will look at both of those options.
