My 1990 Pontiac 6000 wagon was very quick off the line. 3.1 MPFI V6, 440T4 with 3.33 final drive. 2.921 1st gear x 3.33 final drive = 9.73 SLR Weight with full tank of gas on the local grain scale = 3500 lbs. 3.1 engine = 140 HP, 180 lb/ft tq So W/P ratio = 25 My Celebrity sedan with the same engine/trans has W/P of 22. I've been told my engine/trans combo will beat a Caddy V8 off the line, up to 30 MPH. But after that it's all over. I had no problems towing trailers with it, and right now I have no problems plowing snow with it.
