Ma Mopar should have made more of these four door hardtop wagons. They are beautiful.

If it's so rare why would the guy resto-mod it?
Those type guys would put vinyl siding on the Taj Majal.

each their own. I wish Mopar had made more hardtop wagons in the 60s. I have often thought how neat mine would be as a hardtop.

Sure would like to know the story on how this one-of-one came to be (While there were hardtop wagons in the Dodge and Chrysler lineups from '60 through '64, Plymouth had none.....) Apparently, the story's been lost.

My guess it is homebrewed. The roof line is the same either as a hardtop or post wagon. The measurement from the top of the door to the top of the roof line is the same on a hardtop or sedan. Probably the biggest hurdle is the center post that is welded to the floor for the front door latch and the rear hinge for the back door but that is just sheet metal welded to the floor pan. Since Plymouth made a two door in this body style if you where clever enough you could take the doors from a two door hardtop put them in the wagon ,fill in the quarter section and have a 2 door hardtop wagon.
