I know it seems like an obvious thing but was wondering if anyone has put the old chrome 5 spoke Buick rally wheels/sport wheels on their modern Roadmaster wagons.. I picked up a set that need some attention but they came off a Riv with 1/2 20 studs. Does putting them on a wagon that has 7/16 studs become an issue? Has anyone here done this already? Thanks in advance for your input. I'll try the mechanical section as well.

Be aware that the chrome plated wheels ('rally wheels') differ. There's of course bolt pattern difference: 5x 4 3/4 (A bodies) and 5x5 (full size).

For 5x5: 64/65, 66-70 and 71 and up (drums (hubs) vs rotor) differ. The later S/W's also got 7j rally wheels.

Find a set of chrome big-bolt-pattern (5-on-5) Buick Road Wheels. Those look fantastic on these cars.

Also, the aluminum wheels used on the 80's boxy wagons are super-sharp and look somewhat "correct", but they are hard to find now.

Thank you so much for the input guys and especially the pics! I do have a set of the 5x5 Road Wheels but will have to test fit to make sure they'll work. The chrome is OK, but the sandblaster I just bought arrived today so I can blast the backs and paint before installing. I'll get some pics up soon.
