Don't know if this is true, but thought I'd share it. Some of these are really great!!! http://www.ptcruiserlinks.com/forum/non-pt-discussions/34629-gm-billboards-around-detroit.html
God, the feelings those ads bring back. Its true, the air does blow through your hair in a 1957 Chevy BelAir. Good stuff!
Unfortunatly 442, I don't think itz happening except in our dreamz. Too Bad too! Thosez have been floating around for ah couple yearz now but appearing no where in the Motor City that I've seen and I'm quite moble year 'round even at $4.00 ah gallon! "IMPORTED FROM DETROIT" T-shirtz are poppin' up every where since the super bowl add aired tho' Now Chrysler iz in the T-Shirt buesiness New one came out last week. FYI, Detroit haz a very large statue of Joe Louise's arm and clintched fist, not the whole man. The new TS's show just the clinch fist around the new-up dated Chrysler Logo with IMPORTED FROM DETROIT printed around it:2_thumbs_up_-_anima I've got my order in for 3
What amazes me is how many of those cars I've owned (and still do one of them). I must admit, life has been full of fun rides. I love what I have now, but just sometimes I look back and think gosh, if I'd just kept....and.... But then I think nah, some of them I couldn't even get out of anymore without crawling on my knees (the last 'vette).
Yup - a little nostalgia goes a long way in marketing... I have plenty of "if I'd only kept" cars in my past too... I'm glad that part of life is collecting fond memories... Makes the challenges a little less painful when they come up...
