Went to see BHTM at the Pageant Theatre on the 20th in the Subaru Wagon.

 

I saw this vid on YouTube. It's an unusual-looking paint job, but also a wagon:

 

It seemed like convertible weather so I purchased another one…

 

‘67 Fairlane? Is it a GT?

 

This is actually a 66 with 67 fenders.it’s only a small block convertible 500 xl. The wife was not happy that I didn’t discuss the purchase so she took it away from me.

Happy wife happy life. She’ll let you drive it when it needs gas, oh and you can wash it too. Lol

 

In this purchase I also get a 67 hardtop body that appears to be set up for some racing. I haven seen it yet as I just made the agreement on Friday.

It also was a small block car but now has a 390 but needs refreshing. He said it has been fitted with a fuel cell and other mods.

There are extra dashes, fenders, hoods, deck lids and enough goodies to make 3 cars.

(now she’s not sure she wants me to sell the Camaro just yet either)

 

You are actually a very lucky man. Most wives are noncommittal at best and can be anti old car at worst I’m really lucky that I know several couples where the wife is almost, or more of a gear-head than the husband. That Camaro is a great car too.

 

She was that person until she saw a picture of what this car can be.
Now she has her own vision and colors picked out. Her first comment was “you can’t buy that! It has a flat tire!”

 

I love the 66/67 Fairlane. I'm excited to see what you... I mean your wife... has planned for it.

 

In high school I had an Emberglow 66 hardtop that just never went fast enough…
Hers will be modeled after a Mustang she saw. 1967 Brittany blue with white pearl interior.

 

There's a member on the Ranchero forums that finished restoring his '69 Ranchero GT a year ago; it's painted in Brittany Blue and is sooooo gorgeous. Not to mention, it's a Ram Air 428 Cobra Jet 4-speed.
