Well, coming back from a rock concert Saturday night my Belvedere ran great. Over an hour drive each way. Hot and Humid. No issues. We got home around 1 AM. Next morning there is a puddle of trans fluid underneath, a big puddle. Trans is shot. Since I was going to pull the motor this winter I've now decided to upgrade both the engine and trans. 273/904 will be gone. I found a place to get a nice rebuild 727 auto and hopefully I'll be looking at a 360 this weekend. Updates to come.

#60 turned out to be a very clean engine. I gave it a good power washing and now it's off to my buddies shop. The original 273 is out. Removing the original trans is next.

The trans is out. My buddy told me to drop off the 360 next week. I've been doing a lot of cleaning up and painting parts. I'll degrease and powerwash the engine bay soon.

Put a deposit on the transmission. Should be done in a couple of weeks. I also dropped the radiator off to be flushed, cleaned and painted. Power washing is all done. Getting progress.

Yup. I like progress. I gave the engine bay a coat of chassis paint yesterday. Picked up the radiator today. Guy said it's in really good condition and just gave it a good flush and paint. Talked to my buddy and the 360 is going to his shop on Monday. Progress progress progress. Now time to order a shifter.

So my buddy says I can pick up the 360. I already put in a newly rebuilt 727TF, have a nice Winters Sidewinder gated shifter and a boatload of other parts. Hopefully weather stays mild so I can drop in the engine.

Yes, from a 68 Roadrunner. 3.23 gears. The original let go a few years back and I had that one sitting around.
