I heard about these before but never really seen one. Aftermarket special build. I actually seen this car in one of those rags you get walking in the supermarket. It says it was one of 18 built for some golf classic that Nicklaus or Palmer played in back in the day. Really neat. Oy but what a rough part of town it's in. Looks cool. I've always thought the Riv rag's in those years looked hot. Is that a standard steering wheel in that or is it from like a Cutlass Salon or 442 in those years?(I don't know my Oldsy's that well) https://www.dpmmotorcars.com/1985_Oldsmobile_Toronado_Albuquerque_NM_23039419.veh
That back seat looks wide enough for only seating people who know each other very well. A 4-speed automatic in a Toronado? How did he manage that? Back then, there weren't rough parts of Albequerque. That's what they had Santa Fe for
Automatic w/overdrive. You mustn't have been out this way for a long time. Santa Fe is like "San Francisco East"
There's no "kinda" about it. It looks exactly like a same-year Eldorado. And pretty much like a same-year Riviera. It was called the E-body platform, and it was shared among the three makes for many years.
I believe the steering wheel is the optional "sport Steering Wheel" Available on most Old's of the era. as for the transmission it will have the TH440 4-speed with OD, came out the year before this car was built. OK transmission as long as they are not abused and the fluid is changed every 5 years or so. Nice looking very rare example, decent driver condition, the $9,900 asking price is not overly optimistic if you find the right buyer.
I think so too. Where would you find another? And there's probably wiggle room on the price too. It seems like the Eldo/Rivy models bring decent $ if they are in pretty good shape.
