In the bulk of our latest heat wave i was able to trade an air conditioner for a 1972 triple e travel trailer. i dont suposse anyone would know where to get the odd marker light and mabey a few other bits and pieces for theses. i was nervous pulling it home with my chevy but it handled it like a champ.

Cool! My wife & I have been looking at vintage campers. Would love to get one to pull behind my wagon.

Congrats and happy camping. :) As for your marker lites, any auto parts shop, truck/RV joint, and even Crappie Tire will have them. as for "misc and bit" pieces....RV joint would be your best bet.

I had a trailer that my MIL gave us when her husband died. They had two which had set in their yard unused. We took one trip from IL to OR and I took it deer hunting several times. Then it became "our albatross." I finally bartered it to 2 traveling missionaries with large families in exchange for painting my house. Many boats end up the same way once the novelty wears off. We all own too many albatrosses, many of which have 4 wheels.

As Tedy noted, any RV dealer, often Canadian Tire stores, many automotive parts places/truck trailer places, etc. Princess Auto often has them and you can shop on line. There is also Vintage Trailer Supply http://www.vintagetrailersupply.com
who will have most everything you need and they are great to deal with.

Congrats on the trailer. We had a TravelAire very similar for several years.

As for it being a potential albatross, well, to each their own - we use our trailers for many trips close and far, we also use them for spare bedrooms when we have guests (particularly with kids ), for emergency naps when out in the yard, and sometimes we just camp out in the yard to enjoy the creek, the birds, and feel as though we are miles away from home. Anything can be good or bad, it is up to the individual to make the best of it. Enjoy it, camping is a tremendous way to see the country, you can stay in places that would be out of reach if you were motelling it, and you don't have to pack your clothes every morning, sleep in someone else's bed that several hundred others have as well, it is as clean as you want it to be and the list goes on.

Find a Tin Can Tourist event nearby and go join the fun. It will be quite an eye opener for you. http://www.tincantourists.com/
