Hello everyone, I hope I am doing this correctly. My name is Cindy by my sons call me Buxton. My husband has been on a car buying spree and has purchased a 72 Chevelle, a 67 Chevelle, a Oldsmobile Delta 88, a 69 Mercedes and a 1930 Ford Model A. Then he tells me he's buying yet another car and I tell him he better be kidding. He wasn't and the car he bought was a 72 Chevy Nomad. The car was in the driveway for 2 days and I wouldn't look at it because I was so mad. Well I finally took a look and I fell in love with it, well except for the color, which is that orangey gold. So now I'm hook and want to fix it up. I'm hoping to get advice and find resources for parts. I would like to upgrade a few things, like the radio. Well I hope I didn't bore you to much.
Welcome to the group. After I tipped my monitor side ways I really like that sort of gold wagon. I once had an orange 77 Corvette and still have a bright yeller 41 Ford. Oh I had a pink 49 Ford but that's nuther story. So to me your wagon is a sweet looker. I'd kinda like to see the Model A and the other junk your husband bought. Most of us like anything on wheels and love great non-boring introductions.
Welcome to the Station Wagon Forums, Cindy. You've got a real gem there! There's sooooooo much you can do with a '72 Chevelle wagon. There's a lot of them still out there, so used parts are plentiful. Chevelles are popular with the 'muscle car' set, so aftermarket support is tremendous. Make an assessment of what the old gal needs, then jump in! Got a suggestion for a personalized plate: I M MAD Glad to have you here! Marshall
Yes it will. I have a Mercedes '99 SL500 convertible and I want to keep it forever (lol) so I wanted something else to drive.
