Welcome to the forum Patrick!! Great to have you join us, hope you're enjoying your retirement. Oh yeah and best birthday present EVER!
Welcome Patrick. Enjoy your retirement, you've certainly earned being a policeman with the NYPD. Not an easy job, to say the least. We're huge fans of pictures here on the forum. I'd love to see what your '54 looks like.
Welcome aboard Patrick! You must feel elated moving out of the Big Apple. I know we did 23 yrs ago. I had a few friends that were also in the NYPD back in the day. Where in Florida are you now? Post some pics of your '54 Chevy wagon. I like the '53-'54 body style. Jack
Hi Patrick. I am an equal opportunity agitator. So no matter where you are from or what you did I would say the same. Welcome to retirement, welcome to Florida, welcome to the wonderful world of Chevy wagons, and most of all, welcome to the station wagon group. I had problems finding the correct wagon bumper for my 1955 Chevy. And they are more popular. Good luck on the hunt. Do you know about the very large Daytona rod show at the Speedway over Thanksgiving? Good chances of finding a bumper there. Also keep in mind the first Sunday of every month at Sumpter Co fairgrounds. Large car show swap meet. Nearby Webster is also a bike/car show. But the new biggy is Sumpter Co.
Hey Patrick glad you found your way here. A sweet gift for your 60th b-day, you most have been a good boy. aboard hope to see you arounf the forums.
Thanks to all for the Welcome Thanks to all the guys for welcome....and T for the info about Sumter ...Patrick:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
East of 301 on 471. A nice place to look around no matter what you drive or need. If you are south of Webster continue north a few miles to Sumpter co fairgrounds.
SUMTER-------------- I think so. Close enough for me!:2_thumbs_up_-_anima Both swap meets are advertised in many car magazines around Florida. Just keep in mind, the Webster co swap was the original but is now mostly a motorcycle event. Sumter co fair grounds is only 3 to 5 miles north. Follow signs or traffic. If you can make Daytona Turkey Rod run for a day or two go there. You'll be hooked. Sadly we aged just like our cars, worn parts and rust has made walking long distances impossible.
