I rescued a '83 caprice wagon from going to the crusher on 2/28/11.It was a trade in at a honda dealership with water in the oil. When I asked about the car I was told "It's junk." So I offered scrap price to them and laughed.I was told if I would give them scrap price I could haul it off.The car is really straight has cowl induction hood and wheel vintique chrome rallies. The interior is perfect except for a few stains on the carpet that a good shampooing may fix.I have a 355 cu in around 325 horse that I was looking to put in something,so I have something now.Planning on crusin' it to cruisin' the coast in October on Mississippi gulf coast. It is going to be a family affair as I have two daughters who like to cruise with me.My dad and I have a '55 bel air and '75 corvette we cruise in now. Over the past 10 years my dad and I have owned and restored sevral cars and trucks.Looking forward to feedback from others and ideas for my wagon. Will try to post pics of wagon.Best deal I have gotten in years.I should have it on the road with less than $1200 including purchase price.

the cowl hood needs a little glassing around the edges but is fully functional.Battery busted and rusted pass. front fender.I cut it out today to patch other than door dings it is pretty good.Insided is great blue vinyl seats with no wear and like new dash.It had to have been replaced.I found receipt for new dual exhaust and milled exhaust manifolds 400 miles before engine blew according to milage on ticket.Me and my daughter just bgit finished putting fresh coat of chevy blue on our motor.Motor came out my '66 c10 after I put about 10,000 miles on it for a vortec motor I had.

Hello everyone, been awhile. I hope everyone is doing well. I'm still around and kickin' just not as high anymore. I haven't owned a wagon in a few years and have been busy with other truck projects. My dad just turned 81 and he's still working on trucks with me.
Just dropping by to say Hi!

That's great that your dad 's staying active at an advanced age, even though that's becoming no longer an advanced, way over Biblical, age anymore, as medical break-throughs keep happening.
They've got a saying over here that goes, "He who rests rusts"
