I had a few classic vehicles 25-something years ago ('55 1st series Chevy pickup, '50 Willys Jeep). I just realized back then there was no internets, and trying to find any sort of info was quite difficult: Excited to be part of an online community like this. I was lucky enough after much searching to pick up this amazing 1968 Ford Country Sedan: Made a album, more pics here: http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/media/albums/1968-ford-country-sedan.817/ 77k orig miles, 390 v8, original paint, seats, headliners, etc. Had a 4-wheel disk brake conversion done at some point. A number of small surface dings here and there, and some slight patina in places, no real rust to speak of. The guy I bought it from only owned it 7 months, and he believes he may have bought it from the original owner (he bought it sight unseen... I did not). It's going to be my daily driver (on my brutal 4 mile commute), although the Mrs has quickly grown fond of it, and other than the ride home, I've been unable to drive it since Paradise isn't perfect though, there's a number of small issues that need addressed, and I have many questions regarding updates/upgrades: I presume the 'intro' post isn't the place for them? : I should start a new thread in one of the other subforums? Glad to find this community! Eric PS : I accidentally added a duplicate image to my album, and am unable to figure out how to delete it. Any tips?
Beautiful wagon, Eric! What a time capsule - looks brand-new! Only suggestion - do you have any 'before' pics to post? Also don't worry about that double picture posted - no big deal....
Welcome Eric. Nice wagon. Yes wouldn't life been easier if the internet was born back when I was. I could have bought an old car and a young bride from the comfort of mom and dad's house.
@Krash: Those pics were taken by the previous owner. I just downloaded them from the craigslist post rather than me taking them all over again That's exactly how it looks right now, I've never seen it any other way @ModelT1 : You know, I did meet my wife online, so I guess there is some truth to be told there
I'm computer illiterate and my wife even worse. But I did buy this house, the furniture and even a year old car over the internet. I keep getting offers from sweet young girls in my neighborhood. The confusing part is they were in my Florida neighborhood too. When I type a message to them my wife deletes them before I can hit send!
Welcome aboard. That is a fine looking wagon you have there. I'm looking forward to hearing more about this one and seeing photos of you out enjoying it.
