Got my '64 Pontiac Bonneville wagon on the road a few weeks ago after nearly 5 years of life changes, career changes, and moving. 48000 miles, and it was painted about 20 years ago but never put back on the road. PS, PB, PW, power seat and rear glass, original AC car (not installed at this time), Pontiac 455 aluminum heads, hydraulic roller cam, TH400 trans (retained column shift-that took some doing!), 3.90 posi rear.

Car is a blast to drive...not a show car though. Still need some bits and pieces to finish it up. Just wanted to say hello, as I've been lurking here every now and again.

I like the look of the black steelies with chrome center caps and blackwall tires. That's when a blackwall looks good.

    Yeah! Beautiful wagon.....

I've got a soft spot for '64 Pontiacs. My second car was a '64 Catalina Ventura 2-door hardtop. (Bought it because of the power windows it had....) That was in 1969.

Your '64 has all the right stuff. You should be very proud to drive that around.

I'd suggest you put up an 'official' introduction thread in the 'Welcome Wagon' section and tell us a bit about yourself.

I like it. I'd show it anyway - you'll be one of a very few wagons there and it looks good. I've seen some real questionable content at some shows.

I agree. It's pristine, looks original, clean and stylish...I'd show this car.

Congratulations, you must be so excited to have it on the road. (y)

Looks like you joined a year ago sorry I'm so late welcoming you. ;) :Welcome:

    Very Nice!

Wow- a very nice car! Congratulations. :Welcome: We used to ride in a black 1967 Bonneville SW....until my brother wrecked it learning how to drive.

He wracked up quite a list of classics: 1957 Chevrolet wrecked on a bridge in Ocean City, NJ; 1967 Bonneville into a fire hydrant; 1968 Cadillac de ville Convertible shifting the gears like a race car; 1975 Chevrolet Nova, not sure how that ended up in the junkyard; 1960 Chevrolet blown engine....to name a few!

    Welcome aboard, jagtec1!
Is this is the car I saw advertised on the PYForums a while back?
