Hi all. My names Eddie. I don't have a wagon but I really love em. All my buddies think that's a little weird. They believe you should have a muscle car or a hotrod But I know wagons make great sleepers.
My first car was a 2 door Ford station wagon. Dream car is a red and white 55 nomad.

Look forward to chatting with Y'all from time to time
    Eddie

:Welcome:Welcome weird Eddie. There are several other weird Texas wagon owners here so join right in.
You just racked up some un-weird points for mentioning a red and white 55 Nomad. A lot of us would love to have one of those. Keep looking for the wagon of your dreams.

    Welcome Eddie.

If you cross a Fox-bodied wagon with a Turbo-powered 200 CID six running over 500 HP, you've got all the time in the world for the Vettes and 'Stangs to catch up. And still pass more gas stations than they can!:biglaugh:

Thanks Fannie. I went to look at one advertised for 2500. Drove 150 miles one way. Turned out to be 2 door wagon rust bucket. Lots of folks think if it has 2 doors its a nomad. Just not so. Lol

:Welcome: eddiep! I know what you mean...many of my friends thought my wagon was cool (used to have a '75 Chevrolet Caprice "Clamshell"). But they seemed to be more "into" the '70 Caprice two-door I bought after I sold the wagon. Now they think I'm "off" since selling the coupe and announcing I want another wagon. "Stick to your guns" as the saying goes and good luck with your wagon search.

Seriously----well as serious as I get---- I've literally had to argue with people who swear our 55 handyman wagon is a Nomad.:yup:

It doesn't help that I replaced the rusty rear wheel openings with Nomad panels and changed the narrower 210 side trim with all Bel Air trim then painted it Bel Air style.
Shortly after we got our 55 on the road I had a chance to buy a 56 Nomad. That's the model I'd really rather have. Didn't care for the 56 Nomad colors of black and yellow. I've always found a good deal right after I bought something else or got it finished.
