Well, I wasn't planning on buying a wagon this week, but somehow it all came together: a one-owner, very clean 1975 Pontiac Catalina Safari with just 103,000 miles on the clock. You can read a little about it here: http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/fo...tal-vintage-wagon-content-inside/67277/page1/ Glad I found this site. I'm sure that I'll have plenty of questions. David S. Welcome aboard, David! Enjoy your new clamshell! Can we look forward to a feature article starring your Pontiac?
Thanks. Today I did my first repair with the clamshell. The other day it made a weird noise. Today, I investigated. The tailgate went up and down, but the window wouldn't move yet I could hear the motor running. I popped off the spare tire cover and noticed that a drive cable had pulled out of the transmission. I stuck it back and in and tightened the collar, and we seem to be good to go. By the way, lots of good info on this site. Thanks, everyone. David S. Welcome aboard, David. I would be all over that '75 blue Buick (mentioned in your link) if I didn't already had my '72.... http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/cto/3874394909.html
You know, you never know. I don't want to promise anything, but I'm sure it will sneak its way into the magazine. I wasn't planning on buying one so soon, but on the other hand our readers totally seem into it. David S. Wallens, editorial director Grassroots Motorsports Classic Motorsports
