I'm new here also and building a 1965 Impala Station Wagon. The wagon will be mine. I built this one for the wife. We drove it last year to the Turkey run in Daytona. 3000 mile trip.

Ooowee! That's a beauty '65(just my favorite Impala year). Is that a 396 car? What I'd give for a evening orchid SS model, black interior. :thumbs2:

Can we get some more detailed pics of that '65? And tell us more about your wagon project?

Welcome to the madness Dad! :Welcome:

The convertible is a 396 powerglide car. The drive train is all original. When I bought the car out of a barn in Piqua , Ohio the top was shredded, The interior was ragged out, The floors were gone. And the body was a rusty mess. The engine also has 3 broken pistons. Took about 5 years to restore it. Not counting the years it sat at a body shop where nothing was done.
The wagon also was in sad shape but a little better in the way of rust. its a 283 powerglide car. I hope to have it finished this year. Looking forward to taking the family on vacation out west in the wagon.
