My grandpas Mercedes

    I had my grandfathers 78 240D shipped down from Colorado this week. It's not a wagon but I'm pretty excited. I have been tooling around in style since Thursday evening getting used to driving the standard transmission.

    Very nice car! 1978 Mercedes were still near the top of the automotive charts at that point. Built like a tank I'm sure.

    Back when Mercedes were built to a standard and priced where they needed to be, unlike today, when they are built to a price, and the quality is knocked down to meet it. Very good car to own, and having that family history makes it doubly special. Enjoy!
