well it all started out with the 1977 Pacer Wagon, that was gonna be my first car, that deal fell through. that was gonna be free.

then i stopped looking for awhile, then recently when i got my new job, i started looking again, the first thing i looked at was a 1981 Chevy Chevette. that deal fell through, because the guy was an arsehole, i was gonna pay $900 for that.

then came the 89 Olds Toronado Trofeo. that deal fell through because when i had my brother go test drive it, it was a hunk of ****. off the bat i knew it needed a tranny. when we get there and he starts driving it, the brake peddle went all the way to the floor, the power steering was off, and there was something wrong with the ELECTRONIC dash. iw as gonna be paying $700 for that.

and most recently (today) i went to look at a 1977 Chevy Silverado. old lady previously owned it, only 33,000 orignal miles on it! needs a little body work but the 350 V8 is in great condition, i dont think the lady ever used the bed, it literally has no scratches, the frame looks good to. automatic on the columm. interior's great. i dont have any pics of it yet, cause i didnt find it on craigslist, its a friend of my friend who owns it now. hes only the second owner. ill be paying $700 for it, IF i buy it, my brother will be going to check it out soon. heres what she looks like though, just a little rustier, mostly surface rust though.

and it has almost the same style cap on it, as the one in this pic.

Another body style I really like and aftermarket support for those are great. Sheet metal from the doors back I think are pretty much the same from '73-'87 with just diffrent body mouldings. IIRC (I used to own 2-'81's but like the earlier front caps on those)

im really fond of this front end,

but i have no problem settling for the fron end on the 76, i really like the styling and the fact that the interior has carpet, which most of the trucks from that era dont, and ill probably lift her a little eventually, but ill do it the RIGHT WAY!:yup:

That front is nice. The '81's I had one was 2wd and I lowered it 4" the other was 4wd and I lifted it 6". I liked them both, were good trucks to me.Sold 4wd and totaled the 2wd.
