Just wanted to say Merry Christmas & Happy New year to the folks on the forum. It's been pretty snowy here in Oregon. I've been driving the '88 Squire everyday without studded tires or chains and it is the BEST snow/ice car I've ever had. Nothing stops this wagon!! I used my wagon to push another car up a hill to get him some traction. God I love wagons.

Ain't it great? I was scared that mine was gonna be lousy in the snow, boy was I wrong. Still got stock 87 Chevy tires on the rear and have no problems. Glad to hear that you got the joy of pushing another car! Nothing better than that. The first week I had mine, I towed a Civic with it. I felt like I had just gotten married and was only dragging one tin can behind me, well, more of a plastic bottle.

The cops here used some Ford wagons in the early seventies, usually manned by two and had a stretcher in back.
I worked at a trailer rental place in a not-so-nice part of the city and we had a couple of cops that watched out for us, for a slight monthly fee in a plain white envelope of course.
In big snowstorms the they would jump start cars and push them out of snow drifts or up hills with the meat wagon all day. They only charged 5 dollars for a jump or push, good guys.
Much cheaper than the ticket they said they would have to give you for a disabled car left on the road if you didn't want help from them. :rofl2::rofl2:

Merry Christmas as well to all wagonites from sunny (and recently cold and very wet) Southern California. Got word that Sun Valley, Idaho just got its first dusting of snow. Our mountains here already have about 24-36 inches of the stuff. What global warming? Nights here in Orange County have been in the 40's this week. (Yeah, I know. That's shirtsleeve weather for some of you, but it's all relative.......)

    Thanks Krash. :drink:

My wagon's too light for uphill pushing, but I could handle towing a rice-rocket Civic.

    Dito on that one!

We had about 8-10 inches of snow here in Chicago (burbs) on Friday, I was pretty sure the Mustang was gona go "hell no, forget that". So I took out the wagon, though I didn't want to (midwest, they use WAY too much salt). Took some of the back roads to get to work, most unplowed, the '78 LTD was in heaven in the snow. No slipping, no slidding, nota, just glided like I was on silk....

Merry Christmas from coastal NC. Weather was like Spring yesterday and today. Supposed to be a little colder tonight. Christmas day should be near 70.

    Merry Christmas Wagoners!

Merry Christmas and greetings from Nova Scotia! Hope you all have a great season. At least we've all got great vehicles to bring the tree home with... although we used by brother's '81 Parisienne Coupe this year. The Olds isn't quite ready yet. Needs some new tires first and foremost. Got the windshield for it though!

I'll leave you with some seasonal pictures. Here's the aforementioned Pontiac after a snowstorm: ended up looking like a wagon. We applied the correct name across the back as you can see:
